Natural treatment : Make Natural Hair Product
How to Make Natural Hair Products - I just recently decided to start trying some natural homemade remedies for my hair. I haven't really been taking good care of my hair for the last couple of years. In fact I'm really surprised that I still have any on my head.Though I still have hair, it wasn't in very good shape due to the abuse that it has taken from me. Now that I have much more time on my hands and less money than I want to have I don't have the money to go spend on expensive hair treatments at the salon or money to buy the expensive products to support a healthy head of hair.
I started doing some research about products that I could buy that was inexpensive to treat my dry brittle hair. It would not hold moisture at all and the texture was all wrong. It was nappy and very hard to manage. I don't have a perm or any chemicals so maybe you can imagine what I was going through trying to wash and style my hair.
While researching daily I was getting the same results. Lots of talk about eggs, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, honey, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, yogurt, and sour cream. What?! This stuff is not for my hair or anyone's hair for that matter. I'd rather eat this stuff and not put it in my hair! But the more and more I read and searched YouTube this is what I kept seeing. I watched videos and I read articles, I searched Pinterest, Ask.com, Google, Bing, Wikihow, you name it. Eggs, honey, and olive oil masks, Avocado and honey masks, vinegar for protein overloads, and sour cream or yogurt for deep moisturizer is what I found to treat my hair.
Well I wasn't convinced, I did not care what I read or what videos I watched. There was no way that I could use the same things that I eat everyday on my hair to moisturize it or get the protein that my hair needed to stop the breakage. So I decided that It would not hurt to try it. My hair needed protein and it needed moisture very badly. I chose to do an egg, olive oil, and honey mask which consisted of six steps.
- Mix 2 eggs (yolks only for dry hair), extra virgin olive oil, and honey.
- Apply to clean, damp hair.
- Cover with plastic a cap for 30 minutes.
- Wash mask out with warm water (not too hot where it cooks the egg)
- Apply a deep conditioner for 2 minutes and rinse out.
- Apply coconut oil to hair for an everyday moisturizer.
I must say that I was very satisfied with the results and I will never ever buy another product that is not edible to treat my hair again. I highly recommend this mask for anyone with natural or damaged hair.
